Remediation, recovery and practical implementation
The Intervention
How do we put this right?
I help put an agreed redesign or recovery into practice, with clear responsibilities and evidence that shows whether the changes are working.
When this is useful.
Delivery has faltered, expectations differ, or a credible recovery plan needs someone to help turn it into action.
When another approach may fit
If the problem is still unclear, establish it first. Work requiring authority or specialist expertise outside the agreed remit needs an appropriate owner.
The decision this supports
An agreed course of action, owned milestones and a basis for deciding whether to continue, adjust or stop. The work cannot guarantee commercial success or remove uncertainty.
What I do and what you receive
- Reset the required outcomes and agree responsibilities with the sponsor and delivery owners.
- Adapt priorities, working arrangements or the delivery plan within the agreed remit.
- Maintain an action and decision record, examine progress and hand over unresolved work.
You provide an accountable sponsor, relevant records and access to the people needed for the agreed work. We agree exclusions, evidence access and who can use the findings before starting. Additional work needs an agreed change of scope.
Relevant previous work
The ERP account shows how different definitions of success were resolved and the delivery plan adapted. It does not establish a standard recovery timetable.
Examine the case and its limitsScope, timing and fees
A scoped project or milestone basis is proposed.
Scoped proposal; fee agreed before work begins. Plus VAT where applicable.
Delivery dependencies, authority, supplier involvement and the extent of practical implementation affect the proposal. Timing depends on the agreed work, evidence access, stakeholder availability and dependencies. The proposal sets out inclusions, exclusions and arrangements for changes; no standard turnaround is promised.
Will you take responsibility for delivery?
Only for responsibilities explicitly agreed. The sponsor retains the decisions and authority assigned to them. I cannot independently review my own implementation work.
What if the evidence changes the scope?
I explain what has changed and its implications. We agree whether to revise the work, obtain further evidence or stop before making further commitments.
